The AI Act between Digital and Sectoral Regulations

This course explores the interplay between the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (effective August 2024) and existing digital and sectoral regulations. It identifies key areas of overlap and potential conflict, particularly with the GDPR, Digital Services Act, and regulations in finance, healthcare, and automotive sectors. Participants will examine challenges such as dual compliance and liability tensions, and learn about a proposed three-tiered action framework for addressing these issues. The course offers practical strategies for short-, medium-, and long-term regulatory alignment, aiming to support effective AI Act implementation while safeguarding innovation and fundamental rights in the EU.
