Cookie Policy

This policy covers both Lexstream Intelligence (www.lexstream.io and our mobile apps) and Lexstream Academy, our learning platform at academy.lexstream.io. It replaces the separate cookie policy that previously governed the Academy. The two run on different infrastructure, so the cookies you meet depend on which one you are using — Section 2 covers Intelligence and Section 3 covers the Academy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — pixels, local storage, and SDKs — do comparable things, and we call all of them "cookies" here. They help the site remember your preferences and improve your experience. Some cookies are essential for the site to function, while others are optional.
Strictly necessary cookies are always active, because the service cannot work without them, and they do not require your consent. Everything else is set only after you opt in, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time (Section 4).
2. Cookies on Lexstream Intelligence
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for Lexstream to function. They cannot be disabled. Without them, you would not be able to sign in or use core features.

2.2 Functional Cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we use.

2.3 Third-Party Cookies
The following third-party service sets cookies on your device. These are loaded only after you give consent.

3. Cookies on Lexstream Academy
The Academy is hosted for us by LearnWorlds on a separate platform, so it sets a different set of cookies from the ones above, and it has its own consent banner. Non-essential categories are set only after you opt in there.

These cookies are set by the providers themselves, and their own privacy and cookie policies govern them. Which ones you actually meet depends on the pages you visit, the features you use, and the consent you give.
4. Managing Your Cookies
You can manage your cookie preferences in several ways:
- Consent banner — when you first visit Lexstream, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the cookie icon in the footer. The Academy has its own separate banner, so a choice made on one does not carry across to the other.
- Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in.
- Device settings — on the iOS app, you can clear the offline cache by logging out or reinstalling the app.
- Provider opt-outs — many analytics and advertising providers also offer their own opt-out tools.
5. What We Don't Do
On Lexstream Intelligence — the platform at www.lexstream.io and our mobile apps:
- We do not use advertising or marketing cookies
- We do not use social media tracking pixels
- We do not use analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel)
- We do not sell cookie data or share it with advertisers
- We do not track you across other websites
The Academy is different, and we would rather say so plainly. Because it runs on LearnWorlds and embeds third-party video, audio and sign-in, it does use statistics and marketing cookies in the categories listed in Section 3. Those are set only if you consent to them in the Academy's banner, and you can decline or change your mind at any time. We still do not sell cookie data on either product.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this cookie policy when we add or remove cookies. The "last updated" date at the top indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via the consent banner.
